The CAAA Media Committee seeks your help in letting the media, legislators and interested stakeholders of the horrible damage being done to those injured on the job.
Call or write the editor!
Have your clients call the editorial writer at your local daily newspaper and tell the story of their loss of benefits and denial of care. Just dial the newspaper’s main number and ask for the workers compensation editorial writer. A few minutes spent preparing your client to give a short story that spotlights the horrors is well worth the time. A short note mailed to the paper’s “letters to the editor” is also valuable.
Horror stories
You’ve no doubt seen CAAA’s injured workers’ horror stories, caaa.org. Send us the horror stories of your broken, your homeless, your injured workers denied care. Go online to denialofcare.org and type in the horror story information. Or send an email to steve@hopcraft.com with any brief information on the case and we’ll follow up.
Here are our priority issues:
• Permanent Disability cuts
• Temporary Disabililty cap problems
• Apportionment to race, gender or age
• Denial of medical care and other benefits.
