Regular Membership

CAAA Membership valid on a calendar year basis, January 1 through December 31. 

Any attorney who is a member of the State Bar of California in good standing and of good moral character and represents injured workers before the WCAB is eligible for regular membership upon approval by the Board of Governors; providing such attorney is currently a nonrepresentative of insurance companies or self-insured employers in the defense of workers’ compensation cases. The only type of defense cases allowed for Regular Membership are: 132a, 4553, and UEBTF.

Applicants’ ineligible for Regular Membership may apply for Associate Member status

Patron Member: * Fee: $2,500.00
(A law firm or individual applicant attorney of regular member status may contribute $2,500 per calendar year for Patron status. For sole practioners this includes regular membership dues for the year. For a firm with more than one attorney, it is a contribution separate and apart from individual dues. Recognition includes listing as a Patron of CAAA on the opening page of convention syllabi, recognition in CAAAments, a plaque and special badge at conventions.)

Sustaining Member: Fee: $1,200.00
Receives special recognition in the front of the membership roster and notice of all Board of Governors' meetings for participation on a non-voting basis.

First Year Member of CAAA: Fee: $350.00

Welcome Back to CAAA: Fee: $500.00
for individuals who have been out of CAAA for five years or more

Admitted to Practice Less Than Three Years: Fee: $550.00

Less Than 1/3 of Practice is in Workers' Compensation: Fee: $700.00

Three Years of Experience before the WCAB and 1/3 or More of Practice is in Workers' Compensation: Fee: $750.00

Five Years of Experience before the WCAB and 1/3 or More of Practice is in Workers' Compensation:
Fee: $975.00
