We meet here to continue the vision of Michael Rucka and we shall keep Mike's passion for injured workers alive.
Welcome to the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. A great educational program awaits us. The panels have a brain trust that will benefit all attending. Together we can enhance our practice of worker's compensation law and procedure so as to better serve the injured workers of California. The present convention will surely leave with new ideas and new tools so that our respective practices can be revitalized and refreshed as we move into 2015.
The first day brings us right into reaching the accurate reflection of impairment. Documenting and proving such impairment will be of interest to attendees. MPN's get a review along with recent updates in cases. The thorny issue of UR use, misuse and abuse will also be a topic of interest.
Do not miss out on the reception after the first day seminars with the vendors, music and prizes.
Friday is a full day that includes the popular Marvin Shapiro Memorial: Most Important Cases. Additionally our ethics program will allow us to reflect on the practices in our field and reminding us that what we do when we do what we do is important.
The newer members and attendees along with the rest of us can revisit cases from start to trial Saturday. Don't miss the Presiding Judges speak out as they tell it like it is from their point of view. Take a breather in the afternoon and finish the program on Sunday as we look at Labor Code Section §4610 and expedited hearings.
I thank you for coming to San Diego and pray a safe round trip to wherever you call home.
