About Me: My name is David Knipp and I live in Mountain House. I worked planeside operations for United Airlines when I was injured in 2006. As I was hooking a tow bar to a plane, I felt a sharp, painful burning sensation in my lower back. I immediately went to the company's doctor. An MRI showed an injury, so I filed a workers ompensation claim. But my claim was denied.

I then went to my personal doctor to be examined. He also took MRIs, which showed a lower back injury. Nine months later, the insurer finally accepted the workers' comp claim. It took 7 months before I received ANY treatment for my back. I was told that treatment was medically unnecessary -‐ even though a doctor was requesting the treatment.
