Letters drafted by CAAA's Regulations Committee to DWC

With the enactment of SB 863, multiple sets of regulations went into effect on January 1, 2013.  These regulations were adopted on an "emergency" basis, which means that although there was some public input, there were no public hearings held to consider these regulations.  However, by law all of these "emergency" regulations must be re-adopted before July 1, 2013.  This will give CAAA and all interested parties an opportunity to provide comments to the DWC on what they got right and what they got wrong in the "emergency" regulations.

CAAA's Regulations Committee will be going over each of these regulations with a fine-toothed comb, but we'd like your help in identifying problems -- and potential solutions to those problems -- that have arisen from these new "emergency" regulations.  Once you login, click this link
SB863DWCComments  to tell the Committee what you think can be done to make the system work better.

Remember, we can't change the statute, but if you have ideas on how we can better implement the new statutory provisions to make it easier for everyone and to help assure that benefits are delivered promptly, please let us know.  Of course, you can also send any comments or suggestions directly to the DWC, but we'd still appreciate it if you will send us a copy of your comments.  Together we can make a difference and improve the regulations for you and your clients.
