Not surprisingly, the California Legislative Black Caucus has been leading the fight for racial justice in the State Capitol.

Access to higher education. Freedom from police misconduct. Protecting voting rights.

And now...ending insidiously disguised racial inequality in Permanent Disability awards.

Senator Steven Bradford, the Chair of the California Legislative Black Caucus is carrying CAAA’s SB 788. This legislation will end apportionment to genetics and thereby close the hidden racial loophole that allows discrimination in Workers’ Compensation.

Senator Bradford’s leadership is getting results.

On June 2, SB 788 won a unanimous “YES” vote in the State Senate.
