You don’t pay your workers’ compensation insurance premium on time, they ding you with a late fee. But when an insurance company delays medical care, an injured worker can’t ding them for a late fee.
Big systems are all built the same - collect fast, pay slow.
It’s easy to complain about it.
It’s hard to do something about it.
CAAA has fought gender and racial bias for years. Failed. Tried. Failed again. Tried again. Racism in America is a 400-year old problem. And sexism has been around since the beginning of time. But now, there’s a real chance of ending discriminatory apportionment in Workers’ Compensation this year!
CAAA has fought against delays in medical treatment for years. Tried one thing. Tried another. And another. Most people would have given up by now. But each time we try, our ideas get better, our coalition gets bigger, and we get closer.
