As CAAA continues to move our pro-injured worker agenda in the State Capitol, many of us get frustrated and angry. It’s not uncommon to hear people wonder out loud, “Why is this so hard?” or “Why bother?”
Hamilton was a huge hit on Broadway. If you’ve seen it, these lyrics from “The Room Where It Happens” are worth some thought...
No one really knows how the game is played
The art of the trade
How the sausage gets made
No one really knows how the parties get to "Yes"
The pieces that are sacrificed in every game of chess
My God, In God We Trust
But we never really know what got discussed
When you got skin in the game, you stay in the game
But you don't get a win unless you play in the game
This year’s CAAA legislation reforming apportionment and MPNs will face critical votes in August and September. Then (hopefully), we’ll reach the Governor’s desk for his signature in October.
Hamilton will be playing in San Francisco in August,
Sacramento in September,
San Jose and Los Angeles in October.
