On Monday, they arrived. All at their own expense. And all taking time away from their practices and their families.

Monday evening, they spent time preparing. Reviewed the legislation. Learning the Do's and Don'ts. Rehearsing. And dividing into teams.

Tuesday morning, they gathered for breakfast. Assemblywomen Lorena Gonzalez and Eloise Reyes and Senator Connie Leyva came to thank them for the work they do on behalf of people who have the misfortune of getting injured at work.

Then a select group - recruited by the PAC Committee - conducted interviews of candidates and legislators who want CAAA's endorsement. The rest of the "army" headed for the State Capitol...visiting with 55 legislative offices.

They educated and advocated... on issues ranging from Cumulative Trauma to ICE Agent intimidation at the Boards to the Return to Work Fund.

They left at the end of their second day...tired. But accomplished. And more committed.
