Joseph Capurro, President

Joseph has over 35 years of experience in workers’ compensation law and is the sole practitioner at the Law Office of Joseph V. Capurro. He’s argued before the California Supreme Court, is a leader of our Amicus-Curiae Committee, and has received the State Bar’s Steve Jimenez Memorial Special Recognition Award.


 

Richard Meechan, President-Elect

Certified as a Workers' Compensation Specialist by the California Bar Association, Richard Meechan has over 30 years of experience in dealing with industrially injured workers. He currently serves as chair of CAAA's CHSWC Committee and has been honored numerous times by his peers as a California Super Lawyer and as one of the top 100 workers' compensation attorneys in the nation. 


 

SANDRA ROCCA, Treasurer                    

Sandra focuses on representing injured clients in workers' compensation and has been certified as a Specialist in workers' compensation by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College and her Juris Doctor degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law.


 

Steven Scardino, Secretary

Steve Scardino brings more than two decades of experience in the field of California Workers’ Compensation to his position as partner at Gordon, Edelstein, Krepack, Grant, Felton & Goldstein, LLC. He aggressively handles all California Workers’ Compensation cases, with an emphasis on law enforcement and firefighters in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Mr. Scardino earned a bachelor’s degree in history with High Honors from California State University, Los Angeles, and his juris doctorate from West Los Angeles School of Law.


 

Jason Marcus, Legislative Chair                    

Jason is a partner at the Law Offices of Marcus, Regalado & Marcus and has been a member of his family-owned workers’ compensation practice since 2008. He’s a past President of the Sacramento County Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and looks to continue his family’s legacy of fighting for injured workers.
