Regular Membership

CAAA Membership valid on a calendar year basis, January 1 through December 31. 

Any attorney who is a member of the State Bar of California in good standing and of good moral character and represents injured workers before the WCAB is eligible for regular membership upon approval by the Board of Directors; providing such attorney is currently a non-representative of insurance companies or self-insured employers in the defense of workers’ compensation cases. The only type of defense cases allowed for Regular Membership are: 132a, 4553, and UEBTF.


Applicants ineligible for Regular Membership may apply for Associate Member status.

Patron Member:
A law firm or individual applicants' attorney of regular member status may contribute $2,500 - for regular member law firm, plus all individual member dues or $2550 - for individual regular member, includes dues, per calendar year for Patron status. For an individual attorney this includes regular membership dues for the year. For a firm with more than one attorney, it is a contribution separate and apart from individual dues. Recognition includes listing as a Patron of CAAA in the convention syllabi, recognition in aCAAAmplishments and a special badge at conventions. 

Sustaining Member: $1,250.00
Recognition includes listing as a Sustaining member of CAAA in the convention syllabi, recognition in aCAAAmplishments and a special badge at conventions.

First Year Member of CAAA: $350.00
Applies only to new members.

SPECIAL 2019 Welcome Back to CAAA: $500.00
For individuals who have been out of CAAA for two years or more

Less Than Three Years before the WCAB and 1/3 or More of Practice is in Workers' Compensation: $575.00

Less Than 1/3 of Practice is in Workers' Compensation: $750.00

Four to Five Years of Experience before the WCAB and 1/3 or More of Practice is in Workers' Compensation:: $775.00

Over Five Years before the WCAB and 1/3 or More of Practice is in Workers' Compensation: $995.00
