News reports have exposed an unimaginable scheme denying benefits to the families of Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
First, by calling the invasion a “Special Military Operation” and not a “War”, families of soldiers who die are subjected to a severe reduction in benefits.
Second, the benefits to families are only available when a soldier is officially listed as “killed” in the combat. There are no benefits when a soldier is listed as having “died” in the combat.
And there are no benefits for the family of any soldier who simply never makes it home alive.
The Putin government’s use of words and technicalities to deny benefits is unimaginable.
Oh wait... maybe not unimaginable after all.
