Hotel Information
A dedicated booking website has been created for the event so you will be able to make, modify and cancel your hotel reservations online, as well as take advantage of any room upgrades, amenities or other services offered by the hotel. See more details and link below.
Convention Materials
Only printed education materials will be distributed at convention for those who have paid for the printed syllabus registration rate.
If pre-registered, please check in at the CAAA Convention Pre-Registration counters to pick up your materials and name badge. All registrants who have selected the electronic version need to download the syllabus before arriving to convention. An email containing a link to the download page will be sent at least one week prior to the convention date.
Attendees registered after May 19, 2023 are NOT guaranteed a printed syllabus (even if requested).
MCLE Credits
This program has been approved for credit in the following jurisdiction(s): The activity has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 15 hours (including 1.5 Bias) as appropriate to the content of the activities and CAAA certifies that this activity conforms to the standards for approved education activities by the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education. Provider #1279. CAAA has been approved for 13.5 hours of Legal Specialization credit. Provider #1279. CAAA is an approved MCLE provider with the State Bar of California and the State of California Division of Workers' Compensation.
Please note that CAAA is required to abide by certain protocols for MCLE, Legal Specialization and DWC QME credits. It is up to the attendee to make sure they scan in prior to each session for credit.
Scanners will be turned on 15 minutes prior to each session and turned off 15 minutes after each session begins. CAAA cannot award retroactive credits.
It is up to the attendee to notify CAAA staff if there is an issue with scanning their badge at the time the issue occurs. No partial credit will be awarded for any session.

Badge Pick-Up
Pick up your badge at the Pre-Registration counter outside of the Costa Del Sol ballroom starting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Educational Sessions will be held in the Costa Del Sol ballroom.
The Exhibit Hall will be located in the Costa De La Luna ballroom.
You must be a registered convention attendee or a registered representative of an exhibitor to be granted a reservation under the CAAA discount rate.
Exhibitors are allowed 3 hotel rooms maximum per booth.
The CAAA hotel discounted rate is not guaranteed after May 19th.

Taxes/Fees:
All reservations are subject to all prevailing taxes and assessments, currently 10.00% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), 2.00% City Tourism Business Improvement District Assessment (CTBID) plus $1.00 California Tourism Assessment Fee and a $2.00 City Golf Lodging Business Improvement District Assessment (CGLBID) per each occupied room night.
All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid credit card at the time of booking.

Resort Fee:
The resort fee is waived for CAAA over the conference dates and 3 days prior and post.
Check in/Check out Times:
Check in – 4pm. Check out – 11am.
Parking:
There is a discounted nightly charge for both self and valet parking. The self-parking fee is waived, and the Overnight Valet rate is $15 per vehicle per night.
Cancellation:
Room cancellations or changes must be made by May 19th and may be subject to forfeiture of the individual deposit and cancellation fee.
The hotel cut-off is May 19th.
Registration cancellations received prior to Friday, May 19, 2023 are subject to a $50.00 handling fee. Cancellations must be in writing to generate a refund. No refunds, name changes or cancellations after Friday, May 19, 2023. If you do not cancel or attend, you are still responsible for payment. An administrative fee will apply if you do not cancel or attend and want access to the post-production videos for credit.
