CAAA Community

Welcome to the CAAA Community: where connection, camaraderie, and purpose come together.

Throughout the year, our members gather for events that celebrate not only our shared mission, but the friendships and wellbeing that strengthen our work. From our annual golf tournament and wine tasting to pickleball showdowns, yoga at convention, and festive holiday gatherings, these moments reflect the heart of CAAA: a vibrant community committed to supporting injured workers and each other. Explore the events that bring us together and keep our community thriving.

Wine Tasting — Central Coast (Santa Ynez)

Our annual wine tasting on the Central Coast is one of CAAA’s most beloved traditions. A full day of relaxation, connection, and unforgettable views in Santa Ynez wine country. Members enjoy a curated Sideways-style tour featuring exceptional wineries, gourmet food, and plenty of fun along the way. This year’s adventure included tastings at Foxen Winery and Fess Parker Vineyard, complete with vineyard history, award-winning wines, trivia, prizes, and panoramic scenery. The day wrapped with a sunset reception at Craft House, making it a perfect blend of camaraderie and California charm. Join us next year for another memorable day among the vines.

Spindel/Wax Golf Classic

Held each spring, the Spindel/Wax Classic honors the legacy of CAAA icons Steve Spindel and Alan Wax with a day of friendly competition and community. The 2025 tournament brought more than 120 golfers to Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach for perfect weather, great company, and a few unforgettable moments, including a stunning hole-in-one. The event concludes with an awards ceremony and a heartfelt tribute to our founders whose passion and spirit continue to inspire the CAAA community. Golfers, sponsors, and supporters alike make this tournament a highlight of the year.

Pickleball & Yoga at Convention

A favorite at CAAA’s annual conventions, our wellness and recreation events offer members a chance to recharge and connect. Morning yoga provides a calming, energizing start to the day, bringing attendees together for movement, mindfulness, and a little breathing room amidst busy programming. Pickleball adds a fun, lighthearted dose of friendly competition — open to all levels and always full of laughs. Whether you’re stretching or swinging, these activities help make convention both productive and refreshing.
